I take inspiration from the amazing beer experiences I have had in Britain and Belgium. From fruity sparkling pints drawn direct from the barrel in the rolling country of Devon, to funky goblets of spicy ale sipped alongside cheese and sausage in the Art Nouveau glory of Brussels, from malty draughts in the grand drinking temples of Edinburgh, to pints of mild in the belly of the Black Country, a dream of days gone by, a dream of afternoons of beer and banter and the world put to rights, a dream of public house communion.
Drawing on 12 years of experience running a diverse craft brewery producing beers inspired by all sorts of beer cultures I take ingredients from both NZ, Britain and Europe to brew authentic, characterful beers inspired by the old countries. I focus on fermentation and yeast, wrangling the most expressive profiles I can. I see this new found focus as a strength. Old world dreams for new world lives.
